Arc 1 is finally completed, drafted three times and edited twice. I am happy about this.

Some random facts so far:
50,200 (rounded down) words, 93 pages.
17 (not necessarily unique) References that are deliberate.
Over 3k words in arc 1 foreshadow what's to come in the following arcs.
Words cant express how much agony i had with editing this, as my first time i really hope this gets easier.
Names as well!
The universe took about two years to fully coagulate, so far its taken me roughly three to four months to write it properly.
I have an ungodly ton of random notes, icons and concepts written down and scattered around my room, and i really should gather them up.
Finally, i have fifteen different topics i want to blog about but have put off during this difficult drafting, revisiting and editing phase of my book.
Its good to have reached a milestone like this.

Names are hard.

Unbelievably hard, at least to me. I have no idea how other writers do it and at least in most cases make their different characters sound reasonable and not out of place. The names I'm creating (and been helped to create) are starting to sound reasonable as well, but at first they sound so utterly ludicrous that I just end up scrapping them on concept alone.

Ught, I'm only cut out for making melodramatic names, Like Brutilus Bloodborn.

On the plus side, only four minor character surnames (which can be put off till later, as they are only used for one big sequence) and a ship name to go.

Edit: and done. Names are hard.

I'm working hard on my story, so blogging has been slow. I have got a backlog of topics i do plan to mumble about so this delay has been productive for the blog as well!
